I have been to Il Pomodoro many many times..never been disappointed. The food is ALWAYS served hot. Their pasta is my favorite. As a matter of fact, we are going their tonight with friends. expect to have a great time....... |

I held my son's communion recently at Il Pomodoro Ristorante and was extremely disappointed. When I initially came to speak with the owner, I made my budget very clear. He said he didn't do contracts, but I could write everything down and he'd look at it. MY FIRST MISTAKE. We went over the menu and I wrote down what he said covered the agreed upon rate per plate. I even wrote the price down on the paper. He agreed to everything. Two weeks before the big event, I went to the restaurant to make sure all was well and he assured me it was despite my having to correct the date of the event several times. On the day of the event, the food was overcooked, over seasoned, every dish that contained chicken, tasted like fish, and lastly all dishes containing pasta was served cold. All I received were complaints from my guests. Nonetheless, when I received the bill, I was surprised to see that he went back on our original deal. He overcharged me and denied every agreeing to the amount we discussed. As you can imagine I was very upset. While he lowered the price because he saw how upset my family and I were, he still didn't honor our initial deal. Not only was the owner dishonest, but the food was horrible. I would never recommend this place to my friends and family. Heed my warning, the food is NOT worth the aggrevation.
